What's the difference between Audigy and Extigy? Which's better? I got Z680's, so I want to connect them digitally, so what's my best option? Thanks!

P.S. Will the Klipshe Ultras have digital capabilities? If not, you'll have to buy a digital reciever along with the soundcard?

the new nx's uses usb2.0 which reduces cpu usage. the new ultras use analog inputs (3 plugs - front, rear, center/subwoofer). the audigy2 nx acts as a digital reciever...so u wouldn't need to buy another. it doesn't look like dts is supported tho...if u needed that. features from the regular audigy2 line is also supported in the audigy2 nx.

How come the following is more expensive than Audigy 2nx?:

I'm not sure what the differences are....I just want to connect the Z680's to my 8890, so which one do you recommend?

P.S. Z680's have DTS, but soundcards don't. So, will I be able to use DTS? Any soundcards with built in DTS? Thanks!

Is this Audigy 2 NX dual voltage?

The Audigy2 NX also supports EAX HD.
I had the Extigy, it was a resource hog. the NX is MUCH better.

Picked up the NX yesterday, works great. Ran a comparison between onboard notebook sound and using the NX while playing Far Cry, I got the same frame rates. So if it has an effect on performance, it's not enough that I've noticed it.

i keep getting a pop up message whenever i enter my control panel on my computer saying i should set my hardware acceleration to full for eax gaming. thing is, it was set to full from the beggining, and i checked several times, yet i still keep getting the pop up constantly when going into my settings/control panel for anything

I've got the 2 NX...it rocks on my new Hornet Pro!!! I'm currently running my Klipsch Promedia 2.1 speakers through it, and will upgrade to a 5.1 system in a few weeks. I also like the size of the 2 NX. It's very small , lightweight, and offers lots of options, as well. Get it!!
