Educational discount

I don't know if I qualify for the educational discount and if I do how do I get it(thinking of buying 12in. PB soon)

you goto school? if you do then you qualify. Just show the rep your school id.

I called Apple to find out the parameters for the education discount and the Apple reps exact words were: "You can be enrolled in 1 unit of basket weaving and you qualify for the student discount"

I also used the discount at the Apple store. As an educator I just took my current paystub in for them to see and was able to buy myself an iPod mini at a discount.

go to apple.com>store then scroll down to the bottom and click US Education (assuming you live in the US), then find your college or university, then start shopping
