UGH.... I sent my latitude D810 in for video card replacement since it wasn't acting right. Before I sent it in, it was in mint condition, not a single scratch or hole or dent. When it came back from the depot. Guess what I got? Severe damaged laptop! It has numerous of scratches all over. It has a hole in the lcd lid. The lcd latch half broken off. WTF is that?!?!?!?!?!? That really realy pisses me off since this laptop is only 3 months old! So I called Dell customer care and demanded a manager. And I demanded full refund since I wouldn't accept a refurbished replacment after the full price I paid for this laptop, uh huh, I don't think so! So, the manager sent my case to "policies exception" team so they can look over my case and decide to issue me refund or not. I will find out today or tomorrow via e-mail. Anyone had experience with "policies exception" team or the bad experience that I experienced with Dell Depot?

Still no word from the policy exception team. I asked the rep yesterday from her experience, She said they usually approve the type of cases like mine. I asked how long it'll take to hear from them, She said couple of weeks. I doubt it since I remember the manager who submitted my request also expediated it as well. So, I will give them a call on Monday and find out the update.

Finally got approved from policy exception team for full refund. Already sent it in and got money back. I have to wait for the check from DiscoverCard to get my money. All is good.

Now, speaking of devil, The problem I had with laptop was some kind of black screen on battery or switching. Now Dell just released new ATI driver that fixed that! Oh well....

No. I am back to my old and trusty desktop system but with new dell 2001FP that I just got last week. Am waiting for exchange cuz one I got has dead pixels and backlight leak which is usual for first 2001fp to receive I guess. If 2nd one doesn't work out. then I don't know what I will do. I haven't thought that ahead.
