As for the fans being on all the time, this is a DTR not a portable ultra light, ultra quiet notebook. For that matter you have 30 days after purchase to decide whether this system is for you or not and you can get a full refund -shipping, if you don't like the fan noise... return it.
Hahahha. Since GetThermal we all know (what we knew before) that "solving" the issue is more than a joke. And there are too many units with this problem to be something concerning just a minority. This fan-bug is a headline-topic in any forum dealing with these Clevo-devices, no matter if german, english or us-american, called sager, alienware, cyber system or whatever. Truth is that normal people will not get aware of this problem, also it´s difficult to see it with a BIOS giving high speed on the fans all the time.
Since GetThermal there are no more exuses and it is a proven fact that
- high speed and noisy fans are absolutely not necessary
- this problem could have been corrected from the beginning on in several ways (most simple way is to set Fan Off value down to 40C so fans will never stop but stay on a low level)
This is something noone can deny anymore, also not you, Luke.
Since I know GetThermal I´m sure they can change firmware as easy as in this program. Maybe you can even convert the "wh8" file in the GetThermal folder to the firmware files.
btw the last question I´m interested in: why do Clevo, Sager and they all behave like they do ? Why do they always insist on things that are not true, why didn´t any of them release a firmware solving this ? I can not understand this, it is too high for me. I am too stupid for this. But.... now I don´t care anymore. We have GetThermal, that´s it. Let´s enjoy now.
