BE AWARE! SPYFADER is everywhere!

Hi,

I recently found an unknown (possible) spyware but could not find a solution. Maybe someone can help?

Check your computer to see if you have it:

Open your Windows Task Manager, watch it closely when you open Internet Explorer, Firefox, Word, etc. You will find "spyfader" listed on your task list and it fades away in 3 seconds. It seems that this program appears only once or so. I've heard that it leaves 3 cookies and disappear until it was invoked again.

It is NOT sysfader, which is a part of the MS office program.

I have been trying very hard to find the cure, but no luck so far.

The following is a list of software I have tried:

Ad-Aware SE 1.05
Spybot 1.3
Spywareblaster 3.4
MS Antispyware
Spy Cleaner 8.7
Trend Micro Internet Security

Plus, I've installed the latest MS windows and Office updates (as of 5/18/2005).

NONE OF THE ABOVE SOFTWARE WAS ABLE TO FIND IT......AND THERE IS NO SOLUTION ON THE WEB... NOT EVEN YOU GOOGLE IT...

Solutions - anyone?

But I am not feeling comfortable about this...Did you find this in your computer? Outlook Express seems to have it too.

Maybe its not spyware after all. If u can't find any info about it or a way to "defeat" it, then maybe the reason, is that it isn't a threat.

Remember Confucious say "No use cannon to kill mosquito or other equally small bugs."

I hope it's not.

Now I don't know if I should use my laptop to access Internet for banking/business.

By the way, I don't remember Confucious said that. I will ask him tonight.

I suggest spysweeper also. It works really well. It catches more spy software than adaware and spybot combined
