Ok, Don't hold me to this but I might have some info on price and delivery. Production shipment is already en-route and should be here within 2 weeks. Pricing should be just a bit lower than a 8104 (~$100) so the earlier post seems to be on the money. Guess the AMD chip is quite a bit cheaper since even after paying for the higher price Carbon Fiber lid, the distributor cost is still lower than that of the 8104.
wow cheaper than the 8104 but performs better
post #73 of 80
Some German hardware stores list the F4000 for around 2000 Euro. The notebooks should be available in around 14 to 21 days. This price is around 350 Euro lower than the price of the 8104WLMI.

polartw said he bought one in taiwan for 68k taiwan, about 2170 us with the current exchange rate.

wow that is soo amazing, im so happy right now I could cry. But what is the hdd speed in this? it is 100 GB but is it really 4200 RPM? and will the "cheap" ram really be THAT big of a difference?
probably not seeing as the 8104 has 5400 RPM drives

Hi,

I'm getting a HTTP 404 - File not found problem when I try to access the above link. I've search the web for other places which have the Acer Ferrari 4000 User Manual but with no luck. I would really appreciate it if some one would let me know where I could find this manual for download.

Thanks for all your help.

Zowie.

All black

So, I saw somewhere that there is an all-black model, they will have different models? Hope the all-black is not the lower-end version. Anyone?
PolarTW, which one you got?

From what I can tell, there are two versions. The one coming out now is the black version and the one coming later might be the red version or it might retain the carbon fiber weave outlay. It will certainly have cheaper parts, being as this first Ferrari will be stock with all top-of-the-line parts (excluding the hard drive, as it was just recently replaced by the 7k100, but the density of the 5k100 more than makes up for the speed loss).

Woah...where did you guys hear/see that there might be two versions?

edit: nm, just read the other Ferrari thread. cool
