I had a heating issue with mine as well, look at my Sig for specs. I emailed them Friday, got a response that day, emailed them again monday, got a response on tuesday with attached files for a bios and firmware update. If you bought your sager before January or so maybe you had the same issue. My notebook now idles at a great 42 degrees and only hits around 52 while gaming. Keep trying, they'll get to you. ALso make sure when you email them , give them yoru unit serial and your name and address and the retailer you ordered from , that seemed to help me.

If you would like to email me with your serial number, contact info, and a description of the problem I will make sure Sager gets back to you today.

Perhaps your email got filtered by their spam filter. A lot of the time, us tech guys prefer email because it avoids direct human communication. Calling is the best way to make sure you get attention.

You're shitting me?? I sent mine back 2 weeks ago after pushing all of their software down my throat and mine idles between 46-48 and hits near 60 gaming. Seems pretty typical for a prescott CPU so I'm wondering how yours is so cool...

Room Temp plays an important part in these numbers

What tempurature should the CPU be at at idle and at gaming? I know it will depend on which CPU but is 48-50 C at idle out of the norm for a 3.4 GH processor? For gaming is 63+ C abnormal? Is there an optimal temp that the CPU should be running at?

Mine idles around 48-50, and I've seen it as high as 63 gaming.

Honestly I've always been more worried about how hot the power brick gets while gaming. I could easily use it as a coffee warmer (when the coffee isn't sitting to the left of the computer keeping warm anyway).
