Sure, the Beemer had much better name recognition and panache attached to it, but the G35 had better acceleration, handling, braking, and luxury, and cost less. Hopefully, you can guess which one I went with.
Anyways, being fanatical about any one corporation or brand of a computer is kind of ridiculous, in my book, but if that is what make you happy, I'll go crawl back to XPS2 forum hole, and maybe surf General every once in a while and offer advice on computers.
Oh, and yes, I could have afforded an AW, but so what? How much money I can spend on a computer doesn't make me any better or worse than you, and doesn't validate my choice any more than your choice. I mean, Michael Jackson could probably afford 10,000 AW's, but do you really think his opinion on computers matters?

Do you think they are always irritable and whiny because:
1. They get to choose their meals from a set menu, unlike us, who are able to pick and choose from the many custom-prepared dishes we have available.
2. Their meals have additives and preservatives added by their short-order fry cooks, unlike our meals which have the only the finest cuts and ingredients which we asked for with no extra's which our chefs think we need.
3. They only get certain ingredients prepared in the same way with no condiments and sauces to enliven their tastebuds.
4. Their chairs don't recline or adjust, and their tables are too small.
5. They always seem to be on the lookout for food-stamps and coupons to accompany their meals.
Just a thought which may explain their behaviour here. Not to say all of the Children of Dell are like the above, there are some who are welcomed with open arms, as they reason and debate and interact with us and each other in a logical and friendly way, with much jocularity and comradeship.
I suppose some wil take offense at my gentle poking of fun at the Children of Dell, but it is done in the spirit of fun with humour instead of vitriol, hoping you will smile....
<Note to self: lessen the dosage...maybe this feeling will pass.>

|3. You live once, and Alienware isnt something that may be financially sensible when you have a house, car payments, and are counting dollars. So if you want it once, then go for it. It's like an exotic vacation to a tropical island, once married you have no chance of it happening again (unless you are DB and have brainwashed your wife into thinking you need a watercooled 6800 ULTRA to calculate a veteranarian bill on)|
