Anyone Else Get the Cheap 720 Printer...

with their order? If so, did you sell it on Ebay? For how much? Or are you using it? Is it a decent printer? I haven't opened the box yet in case I want too sell it.

I've got one sitting in a box. I might sell the ink and give away the printer.

Mine is still in the box, future TBD...

It's an ok printer. The way Lexmark works is they sell the printer very cheap and you pay more for the ink.

I had a nice Canon printer - pricier but $9 for black ink.
It broke long ago.
Cheapo Lexmark (that's what the Dell printers are inside) but like $20 for the ink.

In fact, I have an old fugly Lexmark Z35 and the Dell 720. If you use the 720,it's the same as the Z35 except............................ Dell pulled a fast one and modified the print cartridge holder to only accept ink cartridges sold via Dell.

I'm thinking just for fun, I might try to swamp plastic housings. Cool Dell silver colors but I'll be able to buy ink locally.

Wow...I forgot that I did get one of those...must be in a closet somewhere. You really are better off selling just the ink on eBay and just throwing the printer in the trash...unless of course there's someone you don't really like that you can give it too.

Mine shipped seperately (later) from my laptop. I called in to CS to advise I didn't even want the printer, but was told it would still be shipped. I just never accepted delivery of it. Guess it should be on its way back to Dell as I type this.

I got the 720 for free, and sold the two cartridges on ebay for about $27. The printer is still sitting in the box.

I'll take the printer if one of you guys don't want it. I really need a printer anyways.

I also am in need of a printer. Still using my 10 year old epson dot matrix printer. If anyone is getting rid of theirs, please send me a message. I will be more then happy to pay for the shipping.
Thanks

Sold it along with my i8600...didn't even bother to open it.

I have the actual printer, but not the cartridges. If someone does want to pay for the shipping, I wouldn't mind shipping it. If this is the case, just pm me or post in this thread.

how much is the actual printer worth anyways cuz i know DELL gives them away like it was a free sample or something...

i bet the ink itself is probably worth more than the printer..

Remember the companies who gave away razors to sell you razor blades? Dell gives away printers to sell you ink. If you use the printer, just make sure you throw it away after it runs out of ink.

i got a few of these and will throw them away after the ink runs out.

They go for about £4 to £36 on eBay (UK) but usually about £15. I looked into this before ordering but in the end said I didn't want to printer and got a little extra money off.

Still in box. Keeping it as a spare in case my laser printer fails. May use it for the occasional color print. Lame promo.
