What Processor Do I Have?

Thread Starter
I ordered this laptop with a Pentium M 725 so I could do the pinmod from a 400 to 533 fsb, but when I got my laptop I opened it up and modded it, but the mod didn't work. I then used CPU-Z to tell me what processor I had. The newest version (1.28.4) says I have a 730. Version 1.24 says I have a 725 and Version 1.27 says I have a 770. Which one is correct?
Here is a screenshot of the CPU-Z's:

Any Help would be appreciated.

i dunno which you have, i imagine it would be stamped on the processor, but the cpu-z all show it running at the same speed, ~1.6 with the 533mhz bus, so thats the 730?

Well you have the P-M 725
As for which speed it is running at I have no clue, try the mod again.

I'm going to go ahead and open it up again and try to fix it again. I'll report back again in a couple of days.

Keep in mind one thing, CPU Z have a few glitches on sonoma full support.

all the cpu-zs show the same info, so it looks like they're all correct (except for model #)

It looks like it's recognizing the specs of a Pentium-M 730: 1.6 ghz and 533 mhz fsb. are you sure your mod didn't work? looks like a sucess to me.
