Great Performance Boost

I've had my 700m Since last Nov but I finally got around to Wiping the Drive and Upgrading. I upped my memory from 512K to 1.2GB by adding a 1GB Stick. I also swapped my Fizitsu 5400 60gb Drive out for a 100gb Seagate Momentus. In the process I went from Windows XP Home to Pro. Everything is pretty Snappy now. The 700m should serve my needs well over the next few years. Upgrading can put a new shine on...

And the good news is you still have room to upgrade that config further. Sounds like you're a happy camper, good onya.

I might Be interested in a processor update I have a 1.6 don't know if a 2.0 would make that much more of a difference or how easy it would be to do that.

To be technical, it makes 400mhz difference. Those 755, and 765 processors are expensive. Maybe in a few months it might even be cheaper to get a new version of the 700M with a faster processor on the new sonoma platform.
