I suggest you guys run Microsofts Memory diagnostics tool as well as memtest. Last year when searching for a memory testing tool a technician from Crucial recommended that I use it.
It has a quickand extensive test.
I had a defective stick of Buffalo pc3200 (my desktop) and it didn't waste anytime giving an error with the quick test.
