On the question of Firefox(Mozilla)....you will find many people prefer it over IE...I used to have some issues on my Dell I8200 and changing from IE to Mozilla seemed to help....the more technical types here will have better info on why ( or if)it's really better than IE but one issue is it's not as vunerable as IE....am I right about that? any of you "smart" people out there? I also used Netscape when I first got a computer but had many problems, switched to IE then changed to Mozilla Firefox about 2 or 3 years ago....

i can read the text with my WUXGA screen ...i dont see what the problem is. It should be just fine at 1680x1050

nope, not at all. And i can even read it with my glasses off. (I have to wear saftey glasses when im on the floor with a machine...so i cant wear my reading glasses)
and as a side note....changing the PPI makes the text look horrible. If you have an issue with the clearness of the type..then get cleartype from MS...its a powertoy...free

Let me know what you think...
yes you are correct. Most of the pictures don't look as nice with higher ppi setting. I wouldn't recommand you to treak the ppi setting. It kinda defeat the purpose of high resolution screen, unless the sole intention of using the wuga screen is to get more work spacke.
