It seems that the deal was on only a couple different configurations. However, i believe it is a moot point because I tried to order one and the coupon has expired!

Great deals seem to be pretty common these days - if you don't have a pressing need I would just hang tight for the next super coupon.

It should still work as I just ordered 2 hours ago and got the savings by doing the above.

I thought that Dell coupons started on Thursdays. Are they changing days?

The special "one-day only" deals seem to happen on Tuesdays. The regular weekly deals still start on Thursday.

Have the one day specials run on every Tuesday? Because I don't know what to do. Right now I can get a 6000 for about $1034. OR I can get a 700M for $961. I really want to wait though because I don't want to miss out on next weeks deal - what does everyone think?

you can wait till next week, but you might end up not getting a better deal, and that is just a risk you'll have to take. $750 off $1499 is possibly the best deal that I have seen dell give.

Memorial day is coming up so we may seem some additional discounts.

I ended up being forced to order the 1.6Ghz cause it was the only available option. But i called Dell up afterwards and was able to upgrade to 1.8 for $100 (as usual)
