new kernel killed ndiswrapper

I have just updated FC3 to kernel 2.6.11 Rel. 1.27 and when I want to activate wlan0 I get amessage that the MAC address is incorrect. Running ndiswrapper -l shows that all is well, but doing modprobe ndisdwrapper is FATAL with ndiswrapper not found. When I boot to the old kernel all is well again. Is it possible to get wireless going with new kernel?

It probably stored the modules in a different location for whatever reason, so recompiling ndiswrapper for your new kernel should work fine. Since your kernel changed you probably cant reuse the same module you compiled for the old kernel. Just make sure you are running the new kernel when you do the recompile.

Thanks I will try that. Regarding different locations, each time I want to use any ndiswrapper related operations (with the older kernel) I have to use bash -l ... is this replated to the loactions as well? It's pretty annoying.
