A Few pics of My Dell 6000d vs. my New 700m

Hi All,

I took a few pictures of my Dell 6000d vs. my Dell 700m. The picture quality is ok since I took the photos using one of my Treo 600's.

Hopefully it would be a useful reference to someone looking for a comparison picture.

IMO - Hands down the 700m rocks the 6000d. Specially, in the lcd dept since the 700m has the TrueLife res. on them.

Thanks for the comparison! I'm looking at both these notebooks. I really really like the 700m, except I'm not sure if the 12.1 inch screen would be good as my only notebook. Do you have any comments on this?

actually I would rather have the 700m than anything else. I used it so often and everywhere I go people asks me questions or pay compliments to how good the screen looks. it's just an awesome versatile notebook.

I also debated about it like you, but I am soo HAPPY that I bought it much easier to lug around when traveling.

When you say you use it everywhere you go.....does that mean..outside in the park...or somewhere where the sun is directly beating down on your back...if so..how's the glare...

I have been hearing all this talk about how the glare is a bother with these new reflective screens...and also how excellent they are at the same time. I know the glare (as I have heard) takes time getting use to. Its just like watching a DVD in thte middle of the day and you could see the kitchen on the tv behind you in dark scenes....The only thing that is making me want to stray away from these beautiful screens is the long-term affect. I am already wearing glasses..and looking at this glare (which i will get use to) still would put a strain on my eye..no?.

Thanks, and look forward to you or anybody else response.

I think it's a personal choice kinda thing. Some people love it... others hate it.

Personally, I'm more comfortable with non-glare on a screen that small. The glare really bothers me, as I notice it constantly. Others claim to get used to it.

Tough call...

The 700m is soooooo small. I know its cool for most people, but I like screen real-estate.
