While my laptop was working the GPU fan only came on for a few seconds at a time then turned off until the card heated up again, and even when it was on I could hardly hear it. You need to look around for a smart control fan option somewhere, it sounds like the bios isn't controling the fan and it is set to always on.
I already sent it back to ASUS - they told me they replaced both CPU and GPU fan and still no luck
the sounds of GPU fan is like working DVD-rom
so, i dont know what to do... Last time it took 2.5 weeks to replace two fans! and I dont have another lappy or desktop.
Speaking about Asus - the tech support totally sucks! I'm telling you that, b/c i talked to those bastards several time.
I had Toshiba before and i can say for sure - they do care about customers, b/c when i had a problem with hard disk, they replaced it and i got laptop back in 3 (!!!) days! instead of 2.5 weeks! Feel the difference!
