Type of HDD in NEC Versa T400 - 2.5" or other??

I am considering buying one of these, and would like to know what type of HDD it uses. If I ever need to reload it, I want to be able to take the HDD out and put it in a 2.5" enclosure to put files on and off.

Also, can it boot from a USB CD ROM?

Seem it has 1.8" 5mm drive.

The drive is the Toshiba 1.8 5mm.

Because it does not have internal drive it surely boots from external ones.

1.8" HDDS use 3.3V 50 pin connector while 2.5" ones 5V 44 pin.

Yes you can connect the 1.8" HDD to another pc via an external USB case or can use a 1.8" to 2,5" converter with frame.

**I think that time the forum had a problem, I could not access it for a few minutes.

Yeah, thats happened a few times lately. Must be too popular!

Where can I get this 1.8" to 2.5" thing.

I am not sure if I can getting one of the tablets yet. I have the opportunity to get one brand new for AU$799 from a brick and motar store (a big name company too, so not a ripoff or anything), and just trying to decide if a tablet pc is for me. ATM, i am trying to sell my 8600 to get a 700m, because of its small size for school and stuff. It will cost me about $700 to get the 700m on top of my 8600 sale, so am still deciding.

I bought my second 1.8" HDD from span shipped same day carefully packaged.
They sell this converter here
Maybe you can also find it on ebay for a much better price. My external case for the drive was about 5GBP on ebay.

The 700M looks good, I wish the CPU could be upgraded on the TR5 as well.
