Battlefield 1942 and iXPS Gen 2

So I download Battlefield 1942, then all of the sudden I see all these games but when I tryed to play them I can't.

So I go and update my game, and download all the patches.

After, I go into the game again and there are no games. I turn off all my filters and I told it to show all games but nothing.

So, I go and download gamespy arcade where I see all these games, but when I try to join it will load for a bit and then it says it can not load to the server.

Any help would be great.

Thanks.

there is a mistake in line one :"So I download Battlefield 1942"

you have to update it to: "So I bought Battlefield 1942"

Now everything should work!

If you are using an no cd cracks or have in the past on your computer they can also affect connection online sometimes.

My suggestion would be to not go through gamespy arcade, but the game's shell itself to play bf1942 online. My reasons for this are that bf1942 requires that you have a program called punkbuster active (its part of battlefield 1942 and on the CD - you are supposed to install it when you install the game, and you can probably install it later too). Once you are in the game's multiplayer window, look at the bottom of the screen and check if Punkbuster is on. Its basically and anti-cheat program. I have an i9300 and bf1942 plays fine (having driver trouble with other games though - and i can't get it at 1400x900 resolution).

get all the patches. bf 1942 is a bitch to get up and running. game patches, then i remember there was also a server patch which actually got the mp running.

Alot of people say "download" when they mean to say I installed. Bad habits I guess.
