Fujitsu 6010I purchased a Fujitsu N5010 in February 2004. Although I loved the screen, I had to send it back 3 times in 6 months. The screen backlight (inverter) went bad in December 2004, and it was replaced. In May of this year, it went bad again and was replaced a second time. After having the unit back for a few days, the screen began suddenly changing colors, and developed vertical lines on the title bars. I sent it back again, and they replaced the motherboard, but subsequent to that, I was informed that the unit became completely inoperable, and the senior technicians decided it was better to simply replace my notebook than to continue troubleshooting it. I was offered a N6010 because they had no more 5010 units in stock, and were no longer making them. I certainly hope the N6010 is not plagued with similar problems. I always wondered whether these units run too hot and the heat may be causing issues with components. I was also offered a 3500, which uses a Pentium M processor. However, I wanted the higher resolution screen on the 6010. Have any other users had any problems with their notebook screens with either the N5010 or 6010 units?
