Webcam not working anymore

Hi

I recently installed the Omega drivers for my 4750, which resulted in some problems with my webcam (flickering image, red tints for a second, etc). So I reinstalled my cam drivers, and now my cam is even worse. You almost don't see anything (just simple shapes), the colors are all messed up and the brightness auto-adjustment keeps changing the brightness level.

I uninstalled the omega drivers but it didn't fix it.

What should I do ?

Thanks

My suggestion...
Go in and manually remove all files dealing with Omega, the Web cam, and the old video drivers. Restart. Then reinstall the ORIGINAL video driver. Restart. Then reinstall the webcam... Good luck!

Hmm how would I find the location of all these files ? I'm not sure which ones they are and how to find them.

Thanks for the help

Did you try my suggestions in your other post?

In the camera options go and disble the autoexposure and set it to your own number. (Video Capture Filter) You may need to download driver cleaner (google it) to completely remove the Omega Drivers. I just want to note that my webcam works fine (after adjusting the filter options) and I have had no issues related to Omerga Drivers.

Yeah that's the first thing I tried. But it's beyond just the brightness. All the colors are messed up.

ANyway I managed to fix it by uninstallind manually the drivers. I still have the flickering screen problem and it's really annoying.
