Beginning of the End

My 8790 is fast approaching its 1 year anniversiry and is beginning to show signs of its own demise. Performance has steadily dropped in games and the fans run constantly at higher speeds. I finished a thorough cleaning about 3 weeks ago and this slightly helped the problem but for about a week. I have to RMA for a network card that went out about 8 months ago but I could not lose my baby so bought a PCMIA card which was cheaper then the shipping I am going to get stuck with... is there any way I can have them replace other parts that almost everyone elses 8790 have failed as well or do I just have to hope it gives out before the warranty expires. I did get the extended warranty from discountlaptops.com does anyone know how reliable they are on upholding their warranty? Thanks.

You may find that if you RMA during the extended warranty period that the freight is free both ways. This is how it is with the warranty company's that PC Torque uses. You only pay freight one way during the initial 1 yr warranty.

Ah I will definitly look into that as that is a good chunk of change saved.
