Cheapest way to get 9300 from Dell

Thread Starter
I'm using the fatwallet discount and the 750 off coupon, but everytime I goto the Educational discount section of the website, it charges like 1 and a half times as much for the 9300 whats up?

What do I need to do to get it real cheap?

Ideas?

Not only can you not really configure em, not only are they over priced, not only can you not use the $750 coupon on em, but arent they used as well?

Brand new 9300 almost fully loaded + $750 off = around $500 less than a dell outlet computer from what I can tell

I looked at 9300s on the outlet and the selection is pretty bad. I think there are a lot of people camping on shoping carts there for a while. The slection of XPS2 are usually pretty good. I just ordered a fairly well spec'd one for under $2000. 2.0GHz, 1GB, 80GB 7200, WLAN a/b/g, and some other stuff. On the day I was looking at them, the one I wanted fell out of my cart after the 15 minute limit (I am at work and have to deal with customers, so I can't baby-sit my cart like some can), but showed up again after a couple of hours. Throughtout the day there were between 4 and 30 of them listed and they were mostly the same ones I saw over and over. I think people add them to their cart to hold them and keep refreshing the cart to see if something better comes along.

I dunno, even looking at the xps gen 2 it seems they arent that great. What really gets me is the fact you cant use the coupon.

I can configure a new system with the same specs and get it cheaper than the ones they have listed there...

Wait for dell outlet coupons to come back. The coupon I used was only 250$ off but still ended up beating a similar config with the 35% off coupon by ~300$.

Most of the systems there are a rip-off. There are occasionally a few amazing deals. It is just that others put them in a cart and sit on it for a long time. You have to either get at one early or wait for someone to quit day-dreaming and let their cart time-out.
