Fanless Heat-pipe Notebook Cooler Vs. Fan cooler

I am deciding on which one to get out of these 2:

I like this because it does not use any fans and thus there is no noise. Has anyone use this before? Is it as good as the fan type?

Then there is this:

Which uses fans but it is said to be quiet. What I like is that the fan speed is adjustable so I can set it to really slow speed for less noise.

Which one do you think is better?

I bought a Targus cool pad for about $30 and returned it. It was such a piece of junk. It's build quality is similar to toys that come out of cereal boxes. It was too small for my notebook too. But the Targus was really quiet. So I can't imagine noise being an issue with cooling pads, especially if you have your notebook fans set on max performance.

Has anyone tried the Fanless Heat-pipe Notebook Cooler?

How does that work?

i own a lapcool2 (black version though) and its actually pretty impressive in the difference that it makes, especially during gaming. @ max fan it is actually fairly loud, but at lower RPMs, the fans do hush up significantly.

This is one way fanless cooling is done. PS, sorry for the late response...

Keep the bottom of your notebook free of anything that can block it. If you want to use something to help cool it get one of these. I use them on my Dell 1405 and XPS 1710 they work for both
