no
Well I installed this earlier today been using it for 8hr never drop below 54MB and no connection lost issues im glad this 2200BG card is working as well as my xps dell card now thanks again!

That's great, it fixed it! Most of the time I would see it drop to about 24Mbps, and every once in a while it would drop even lower, but so far so good, it hasn't dropped under 54Mbps since the driver fix. I kept on the lookout for a new driver, I don't know why I didn't see this pop up anywhere else, but I know if it exist it will show up on the trusty notebookforums eventually.

It is a good thing I opted for the Dell Truemobile 1450 abg card since this card has no or few issues than its Intel counterpart....and how did I know this....from this forum, my friend. My 1450 has been rock solid and has not given me any problems. If you consistently get problems with the card, call Dell and ask for a 1450 substitute.

If you really require the additional 802.11a freq band, the Broadcom-based Truemobile 1470 has been avail since the beginning of the year. Otherwise, the Truemobile 1370's 802.11g performance is on par with the older 1350 model but uses less power and has a smaller mini-PCI form factor.

I have not had problem number one with the 2915 card. Doesn't matter where I am in my house. I can even pick up my neighbors networks. I don't have either driver version that was mentioned here. I have 9.0.0.61. That is the driver that is on DELL's support website currently.

Shared file link has expired...

[quote=thehappyman]The download is more than just the driver, it's an Archive with contains both the new driver and a new version of the intel PROwireless Software.

This new Software is NOT listed on the Intel Support website -

You will neeed to download -
The Archive containing device driver version 9.0.1.21 and IntelĀ® PROSet/Wireless Software version 9.0.1.4. Instructions are included.

The shared file will be available to you on the Web for 1 Week.

No, that's not the newest version. Hopefully one of the people who has already downloaded it, would be willing to host it somewhere.

I googled it, but couldn't actually find the file, just the same link posted here.
