Has anyone use this?

I think this is good because it has adjustable fan speed control....so you can also adjust the noise of the fan.

Anyone have personal experience with any of these 2?

I was using the Quad Cooler when I had an Alienware. The one I bought was under another brand but the same thing.
There are 4 'small' fans that were not very powerful. It did move air though and kept the lappy cool enough to game with. It pulls the air down and out the sides.
I'm not using it with my XPS2 being that the lappy seems to do fine with gaming and heat.

I realize I may be the worst possible person to be posting a question like this, but...

aren't laptop coolers a joke? The thermal limits of these chips are 100C. I personally ran one up to 83. The only way a chip is going to run hot is if the heat sink gets so clogged with dust that air can't flow through the fins, and when that happens the laptop cooler isn't going to do anything...

Yeah, so a laptop cooler keeps the idle temp down what say 2 C and temp at full load 4 C... but when you're running so relatively cool anyways does it really matter?

Not trying to bring anyone down or anything, just trying to understand... maybe there's something i'm overlooking.

No, I have a 9300 and it is much cooler than my old Compaq X1200 that had an early PM.
