Any luck getting a sparkle free screen - Page 2

Samsung here and I have no sparkeles, and a tiny bit of light at the bottom when the room is really really dark. Other than the windows loading screen you cannot notice it. I have seen the LG screen on a friends laptop and I love my samsung because of it. Also the colors with stock settins were good, but not amazing. Lowering the brightness a bit, raising the contrast and upping the digital vibrance a tad made this screen breath taking.

I have no sparkles, glitter maybe but no sparkles, shiny graininess, but no sparkles, sort of satin looking, but no sparkles, a bit of a sheen and all, but no sparkles. I can't say enough how I have no sparkles, nope no sparkles here on my glittery, grainy, satiny, sheen-filled, sparkle-free screen. Sure is nice to not have sparkles, guess I'm one of the ignorant ones. I mean lucky ones, lucky, that is.

Lowering the brightness a<<<

Exactly what I did. Keyword, though is "a tad."

Best bet is to get a nice, normal looking headshot with normal skintones as a baseline. Helps if there are some primary colors in foreground or background.

I popped up contrast to 105, digital vibrance to "one click" to right of lowest setting, gamma to 98. Rename and save.

Then just click on and off with "yours" and "default." The difference should add a bit of pop, but not make the skin tone color "off."

This is on my LG screen, which I thought looked pretty good, but now just looks "better." Nice little "pop" without going too far.

Actually I am pretty sure pixels can burn out over time although I don't think it is too common. There are so many pixels on newer LCD's (such as WUXGA) that if one of them is not functioning at 100% there is still a good chance the user would never notice.
