Mac OS X question

Thread Starter
Ok. PC user here. Never owned a MAC and rarely used one (once I think).
I have a question regarding the operating system: If I buy an iBook or a PowerBook here in Portugal will it be loaded up with a Portuguese OS? Coz I hate that, lol. I prefer English OS's.
I suppose it will come with the local language

You can change the language on just about any machine, though...for pretty much any recent operating system.

If you buy it at a store in Portugal it'll most likely come with a Portuguese keyboard and have the Portuguese language set up as normal. To change the language, however, is as easy as going to System Preferences>International and then dragging English to the top of the list and logging out/restarting.

If you buy online from the Apple store it should give you the option to select the keyboard and first choice language.
