Sager NP4750... are there any downsides?

Thread Starter
I was oggling over the 3880 for a while, until i found the 4750.
Are there any downsides to the laptop besides the obvious?
(ie HUGE and low battery life)

The battery life pains me, but if i want to get any serious gaming done, the Radeon 9700 looks like my personal saviour from actually having a social life.

I'm really not looking for praise for it, but i want to know if somthing is horribly wrong with it. (dead pixels etc.)

thanks

Any laptop you order will run you the risk of getting dead pixels, but with the 2 options of pixel policies PCTorque offers you won't have anything to worry about.
If you're seriously considering a gaming laptop might you look into the 9880? If you order within the next 3 days you get a $500 instant rebate, not bad. Plus, the graphics cards are far superior to the mr9700. Just adding some thought into it, take it with a grain of salt if you will but know that if you're looking for a high-end gaming laptop, I'd definetly suggest the 9880.

The Nvidia 6600 and the Radeon X700 are both twice as good as the mr9700.

If you want to play new 3D games at high res. and high end settings, look for something other than the 4750. For doing everything else, it is great!!!
