Gmail compatibility?

Using the first application, I can't configure it for GMail.

Does it work with POP3, or does the email server have to be IMAP to owrk with XPS Lights?

Has anyone manage to get this app to work in VIsta yet?

I was having some trouble with getting the .dll's registered to start off with but then discovered that you needed to open a command tool as administrator and then manually run the two lines from the .bat file. It now seems to have an extra visualisation option available within media player, but I cannot open the actual XPSLights app withough getting an error to do with a JIT debugger and cordbg.

Anyone got some ideas as to how to get around this, or am I just stuck with the default Dell options?

You will probably need to install the NET Framework 1.1

I initially downloaded the .Net version 2, as I figured having a higher version number would clearly be the correct way to go, but have since removed that and installed the 1.1 version after seeing some of the other posts somewhere about here but still get the same problem.

I am having similar problems on a Vista system. In addition, the default Dell options don't seem to work correctly in Mediaplayer or iTunes. In Winamp the 3rd effect rocks my socks, but in Mediaplayer and iTunes, it just kinda stis there. Not much color cycling or flashing. Anyone with similar probs? Or better yet...a solution?

Hadn't thought to try Winamp out but that does seem to work for me OK with the Dell XPS LightFX plugin. Other than that though I'm seeing no effects in any other media player I've tried yet.

It looks great in Winamp. I think Winamp is a better player than the other two and would rather use it then them, however, the jerks at apple have made sure that only iTunes will play your downloaded music. So, I would like to have the plugin work in iTunes too.

I have programmed a new version for vista that also supports the touchpad. Not available for dl only via email.

PLEASE do not give me GMAIL email addresses, they reject exe files even if contained in a zip file.

Qualar,

Wanted to say thank you for quick response to my message, I did send you a message with my email address if it is possible to get a copy of your led program for vista.
