Dell i6000D- which PCMCIA USB?

Hi guys,

I recently got hold of an Edirol UA-25 which is proving to be a very nice sounding & useful box for the money. However, I'm running into some click/pop issues when running a heavy mix in Cubase (other apps seem fine.) I'm thinking it's an IRQ/bus sharing issue, and I want to try a PCMCIA USB card- has anyone been through this already, and can anyone recommend a chipset/brand that's available in the UK?

Cheers!

Define click/pop issue? As in digital Sync issue? Or is it you are picking up clicks and pops in your recordings that get worse when arbitrary things such as your HD spinning up or you move your mouse?

Seems to be pretty independent of mouse movement, graphics stuff, etc. Could be the hard drive, I suppose- it's pretty slow- but I know that all the USB ports are sharing IRQs, so it seems like something I should check out. and I need more ports anyway....
