I am slowly getting fed up of waiting for Logitech to get their ?$#@ together and release thei Bluetooth Mouse. I really do not like the Microsoft solution. anyone got any news on it?

I'm sort of interested in the same mouse myself (if I can really justify dropping another $100 on this computer). I did find a press release from mid-September stating that it would be available "by the end of the year." Not soon enough, in other words.

I still think it is worth the wait. I have bluetooth in the lappy and I think I can get away with the current mouse till they get it together. I dislike the MS Solution, I also like the rechargable aspect of the Logitech. I forget if the Microsoft mouse is rechargable. I do not need or want a different keyboard.

Logitech is worth the wait, if it is anything like the mx700.

I live and die by Logitech's Dual Optical, but I hate the design of their newest MX series mice. Belkin was supposed to release their Bluetooth mouse Oct 1st, but I still haven't seen it anywhere and their site says it's still not out. Anyone know anything about that? It looks like a good design from the few pictures I've seen.

I'm not sure what the point of Logitech's mouse is if you still have to plug the big recharger thing into your USB port. I wonder if it works with the internal bluetooth, or if you have to use their special hub thingy.

It better not have to plug in! I think it just plugs into the wall power for the charger.

Wow.. i was glad to retire my Dualy for the MX700.. the design is much sleeker, and much nicer to look at for sure.

And the performance!! Damn!!

As for the hub... you dont NEED to use the re-charger. It will take normal AA batteries. Jsut hope you dont mind changing every 3 days. Or, if you can.. set up a "base station" using the included base, and recharge your mouse over night every 3 days...

Now, if we get drivers for the BT cards that support HID, then the MX900 should work perfect...

What I cannot seem to find on the web anywhere is how the charging station gets power. I would hope it would plug into the wall using an AC adapter. I like the idea of the rechargable MX900. How does the 700 do it? I have BT in my Lappy already and want the Mouse to eliminate another dongle connection, whether it be USB or otherwise.

Well, i cant see any reason why it would be different from the 700.... They are both radio based, so all they would have to do is replace the chipset inside...

the 700 is wall plugged..

THat is what I thought. And would expect. The dongle you get with it is redundent if you have an internal BT, card.

No.. becuase the base (what dongle are you talking about ) is still a charging station. Thus, you can use your laptop mobilily, and simply drop ur mouse in at night. Save batteries, save room.

For the folks with no BT on board don't they usually provide a USB BT dongle with the mouse.

That is what the recharging station does....

On the MX700, the recharging base is also the radio reciever.

Now, i should be the exact same way on the MX900, EXCEPT, that the mouse should not need the the base station if our BT cards work with HID...

anxiously awaiting a BT thumb trackball...

I have the latest WIDCOMM bluetooth drivers (1.4.2) that work with HID's and will upload them to my site when I get home. They work with pretty much every bluetooth device except on Windows 2003 where it asks for a key.

I don't know, I dont have a 4060. If the 4060 uses WIDCOMM drivers then yes.

I said when I get home. A Link is no use without a file on the other end, is it.

Thats the one, but you want to wait for the one I am uploading, theirs has their dodgy advertising all over it and even installs some USB devices as their companys name a phone number instead of the devices name.
