Updating Drivers for ATI 128 Radeoon in Dell 8600

Is it possible to use updated PC drivers to update my Graphics card on my laptop or will there be some conflict or damage to my 8600 if I use them. The thing is on ATI website they claim that I should only stick to the drivers Dell provided.

Any suggestions?

Try the Omega Drivers for better performance.

You will not damage your PC with a new driver, any problems with driver conflicts just reinstall the original driver.
