When is it a good time to invest in a Laptop?
Are you wanting to invest Right when they new processors and Vid cards come out?
or when?

And for the Real time if your going to buy a gaming laptop would now be a good time or should you wait till a certain something comes out?

Advice needed
Thanks

well the way i see it, unless there's a new something coming out in like a month and you are absolutely sure that you should wait, buy the laptop now b/c everything is going to be old really soon nowadays so might as well splurge on something you like right now or else you'll end up waiting forever

Don't call it "investment"--everything drops in price.

My experience regarding best time of year: January and February, or July and August.

I would buy after summer around August/September. Right now the Turion notebooks are slowly coming out, Asus just released a new model and will do that again in the next month or so (W2, W1 refresh), Ferrari 4000 should also be in stores around 10th June and Intel is suppose to cut the price of their cpu's. A lot is happening right now. I would wait and see.

Kinda wanted it for summer So when do you think it'd be good for me to buy my xps(i still hate dell) I mean the price is already so low... But are they gonna come out with a new graphics card or something soon that i should wait for

I doubt they will come out with a new graphics card, but the XPS2 seems like a really nice buy. Out of all the dells, thats the only one I would buy with no hesitation.

When will they cut the pm prices? Will this mean that if I wait until then, the 9300 2ghz config cost will drop also?

I would doubt that you'll see the prices drop too dramatically once Intel drops their CPU prices. If you find an XPS system you want and there's a coupon available, I wouldn't hesistate, considering you aren't sure if there will be a coupon as good after they drop their prices, and if it's a % off coupon, then the difference probably won't be as big.

If you're looking at the 9300, what I'm looking at doing is buying one now with the 1.6GHz CPU and once the prices drop get a 745 process (1.8 @ 400 fsb) and pinmod it and sell the 1.6 on ebay. Just my $.02 though.

I would pinmod, but my parents wouldnt approve. Sucks.
