Everest even reports it as being overclocked.... now the only problem is when I go to 3d apps the clocks go back down.

With the 76.50's it doesn't work... all i did was dl the 71.89's... I dunno. But it was working...

(watches as everyone runs to get the 71.89 drivers) are they a modded version or the stock one?

The first driver I installed were the 76.50's from sagers site.

Those had issues so I dled NVCleaner and cleaned things out.

Then I dl'ed the 71.89's from laptopvideo to go, they were good but not as fast as the 76.50's. Just now I tried to do some OCing and to my belief it was overclocking. the screenshots dont lie. I was having issues with it going back to stock clocks every time I entered a game so I hooked up my desktop LCD to the lappy so I could watch the temps and EVEREST. If I loaded the game the clocks would go back down, so i minimized the game, set the clocks again and they held.

So I dunno maybe some fluke? sure but It was ocing.

I WAS RIGHT!

I also could not get 3DMark to work.

how long to temp bans last LOL?

At 513/1.13 GPU temps started going over 80c

Yeah, I couldn't get 3dmark to run after i set it to auto o/c. It stalled.

What clocks?

Can anyone else confirm that the 71.89's OC?

So what does this mean, it overclocks but wont hold the clock going to 3DMark and some other games?

Can you run a CSS bench at the clocks you got it to?

Use these settings:
1920x1200
No AA
16x AF
High models
High textures
High Shadows
Water on simple reflections
No vsync

Does anyone know why the clocks go back down when entering games and other apps that require the video card?
Probably because the card does not need to run in optimal settings all the time which limits the heat and when there is less heat there is a happier computer.

True. Can this be changed in Powermizer perhaps?
