What shipping company does dell use?

i'm awaiting my laptop, and i just wanna know who delivers, either ups or postal service?

I ordered 3 laptops this year from dell.. all came in using UPS

If you ordered a new system and Dell emailed you that your package shipped, you can find who will deliver and track package online by log into My Account and lookup order status. Ususally Dell use UPS to deliver laptop.

i ordered outlet, i'll try that though. do you mean put the order # on the ups site?

If it is a outlet item, I do not think it gives you more info than just say shipped and expect delivery from XX/XX/2005-XX/XX/2005.
I believe tracking through UPS or others only works with new system purchase. My experience was that a new system purchase will link you to UPS automatically and detailed specifically date of delivery and where your package is currently (+/- hours).
I do not know why there is difference in treatment of new vs outlet items. But that were my expereinces with new and outlet package shipping.

yeah, i tried the ups deal and it didn't work, but my account says tuesday - thursday, so i'm not too worried about it

The notebook is coming through UPS. Hurry up UPS dude. Extra stuff is coming through DHL. Weird that they use diffrent companies. Well everything is supposed to be here Wednesday 6-1-05

ive noticed that DELL uses DHL for their electronics and accessories (including camcorders and video equipment)

Dell uses DHL, FedEx, and UPS. My Dimension was shipped through UPS, but that was 5 years ago. I ordered some RAM recently, and that was shipped through DHL.

Yeah, I think they use UPS for big orders like computers, but little things like memory or accessories are generally dhl.

Airborne Express (DHL) for small/electronic items
FedEx for overnight (I think, all my overnight laptops are from FedEx, not UPS, strange)
UPS for others
