Where is the best place to get reliable cheap ram. Is it worth upgrading to 2gb's or is 1gb enough?

Many people have used NewEgg. I used MemoryForLess and got reliable Kingston 2gigs. 1gig should be plenty.

I remember paying that much for my old gateway solo 9100. 6 GIG drive, 14.1 inch screen, LS-120 Drive, CD-Rom. no USB, no Firewire, no network and no modem. I must have been crazy!!!

Yeah man, my six year old sager was something like $1400, P2 500mhz, 128mb ram, 16mb video card, 6 gig hdd, 14.1" screen, floppy. Had to get internet via a PCMCIA card. I ended up selling it on eBay about 7 months ago. Strangely enough someone bought it for $400.

The best part about that laptop is that the screen didn't shut off when you closed it One time my girlfriend left it closed overnight and it burnt off the plastic that covered the LEDs.

Some quick questions.

Is it necessy to reformat the computer to remove the dell crap?

Should I of gotten the internal bluetooth card?

Also, if a better deal such as a 35% on a XPS Gen 2 comes out in 2 weeks can you send the 9300 back and reorder the Gen 2?

1. No you don't have to reformat. I would just go into add/remove programs and delete the ones you don't want and then use a cleaning program to clean up the remains. I'm not sure what program to use maybe someone else on here knows.

2. Only if you have/plan on using any BlueTooth devices (mice, PDA, etc)

3. I don't believe that the performance difference is worth the extra price of the XPS2, and I don't like the black on gray of the XPS2. I like the artic silver look of the i9300, but if you do thats your own choice.

When you configure the Lappy the Bluetooth is $49, but in spare parts it's ~$14 I heard. Do a search On Bluetooth; there are loads of threads detailing it.

If a 35% Coupon comes out in the next while or so, you can always RMA it.
