I want to get a reasonably size laptop, i was planing on getting the dell Inspiron 9300, but it seems to be a huge laptop, i heard it loud and it also heats up alot?? So i don't know. What im going to be using it for is a program called maya. My desktop wich is a amd 64 3000+ runs it very well, so i don't know what kind of processer i need it to run reasonably, i tried maya on a 1.67Ghz powerbook, and it ran well, but would lag at times, so i don't know how fast of one i should get. I was looking for something around 15" for the screen. Some i can carry around, i need to take it to school and home, so i dont want somthing really heavy and big. I also need somthing that has a good GFX card, such as the 256MB NVIDA® GeForce™ Go 6800 which the 9300 has. Which kind of laptop would be the best for me, because there are so many to choose from, dell, acer, sony, IBM, i don't know. I really don't want to go beyond like $1500-2000. Dell has alot of coupons so, i was leaning towards dell, but a powerbook is out of the question, i would love to have one. lol What do u guys think?
