m10 and m10-p

I am living in France atm (Monaco that 2sq km principality)

I found a Clevo reseller here very close by in Sofia Antipolis (French Mini Silicon Valley ). It's called keynux (www.keynux.com) and they offer the 5680.

However, it says that the ATI is the m10 and doesn't say pro. So I sent them an email asking about it whether it's pro or not and the salesrep tells me it's not pro. So, being very suspicious about the french tech ppl, I ask them at what speed the card runs. I read from these forums that the unpro does 300MHz and that the "pro" does 350MHz. Now this guy tells me that according to tests the cards runs at 255MHz

Is he right or doesn't he know ****? :/ I really want the pro when I shell out 2500euros and not an overvalued unpro card at 255MHz.

What do you think?

Merci

Well,

In Theory if the machine they are selling is the 5680/8890 (I am not sure what the celvo model numbers are) they should have the M10P in them. If you are at all worried I would look for another reseller.

RAM DAC is nothing to do with the cards Core Processor speed, the RAM DAC is just the chip that converts the image from Digital to analogue so it can be used on a VGA screen, nothing more.

it is possible that they have clocked down the cards..

but..

they are still M10Ps. They have a core speed of 350, and a memory speed of 250(x2)..

Im guessing he told you the memory clock instead of the core clock.
