7620 MSI wireless LAN driver causes hang-up

Thread Starter
My 7620 is frequently hanging up on the Windows XP (sp2) screen as the computer reboots. I deleted the windows partition and formatted the drive thinking that this would help. As I added drivers I noticed that the MSI wireless LAN driver was causing the problem. If I skipped loading this driver, my computer booted fine. If I loaded this driver, it would hang up on the windows screen 2 out of 3 times. I tried the wireless driver from the Sager web site, I went to MSI's site for drivers and I also went to Ralink for drivers. All have the same result. To make matters worse, the wireless network card cannot pick up wireless networks in my area when the troublesome drivers are loaded. Is there anything else I can try before I have to send my notebook back to Sager? Thanks!

try to install new drivers for it. you can find them on msi site. good luck. anyway it is not a big thing to send it back ah and try downloading all new drivers of you other devices maybe thay cause the wireless lan to hang .

If you dig a bit further, you will discover that Ralink makes the device and their drivers are more recent and work better. I had on/off - on/off - on/off problems with my wireless connection ... until I loaded the drivers from the site above
