Anyone have success using movix or movix2?
I can see the movix menu, but when select a file, the screen turns back
and can't see nothing...
I think that it's a problem with the refresh rate or/and the ati.

Linux is too dificult to me...any ideas?

i've used it.the conflict might be with your 8600, it worked fine on my 700m but i went to try it on my buddy's 6000d and it wouldnt play video.. look for a distro that has your drivers, or program it yourself

Theoretically movix already brings drivers to be able to use ati; perhaps the problem is of refresh rate of the screen, resolution or something thus, but i don´t know not exactly that. I do not understand as it can work in other portable ones and with the 8600 no, must be the radeon…

700m has a Integrated Intel Extreme graphics and 8600/6000d uses ati radeon; looks like the problem is with the radeon movix drivers...

Any luck? I'm getting a 9300 in the next few weeks. I'm looking at probably using geexbox to maximize the battery life when on planes and such (plus a 30 second boot isn't bad either).

Has anyone gotten geexbox to clock the CPU down so that it maximizes battery life?

Has anyone gotten svideo out to work? I have it on my acer laptop right now with an ATI chip but I can only seem to get the black and white signal out of the laptop.
