Hi, this problem started happening about 2 weeks ago. When my laptop is plugged in the orange led that is on the front of it starts blinking really quickly, or just doesn't come on at all. THe battery isn't fully charged, so it should be a solid orange light until the battery is charged up. If I wiggle the power connector I can get the orange light to stay solid, but then if I move at all it starts blinking again. Despite all of this, the power to the unit from the AC adapter is working (I see the blue plug indicator right below my touchpad). I'm pretty sure that the problem lies in the mating connection between the laptop and the power adapter. Has anyone had a problem like this before? The other thing I notice is that the power adapter leads get REALLY hot. Maybe this is another sympom? It seems like a short circuit or something since the connector is getting so hot it will melt your skin if the laptop is plugged in for 5 mins, then you take the connector out and touch the metal, as my right index finger can attest to 
Thanks for any help, I've got some more detailed ideas about what exactly may be wrong with the connector, but though that maybe this is a problem other people have had before, so I put it out to you to advise me. I bought the laptop off ebay, not new, so I doubt I've got any warrantee from emachines or anything like that. Thanks.
