how long in "boxing"? - Page 3

Ok as of now it is 12:32AM PST and they have updated the UPS website for my shipment now it reads:

Jun 3, 2005
12:17 A.M.______VERNON, CA, US_______DEPARTURE SCAN

Jun 2, 2005
10:23 A.M.______US_______BILLING INFORMATION RECEIVED
8:40 A.M._________PATRICK, NV, US_______ORIGIN SCAN

My i9300 seems to have left from Vernon CA which is in the LA area, how it went from up near Reno to down by LA is a mystery as that is basically going the opposite direction and seems they sent it there so that it won't get here tomorrow (basterds ) of course I never know because it seems to be quite a bit closer now to me, only 282 miles away instead of 434 miles. so i guess it might get here tomorrow morning (it better) well I think Im going to go to bed now I'll be back on here to check responses at 6AM.

What does yours say now? Mine is still in "Nashville," and departed at like 3:30am. I'm started to get a little bit pissed at there being like nine different scans in JUST Nashville.

mine says it is somewhere called CERRITOS, CA, US for an arrival scan which is only 20 minutes after it departed from vernon, CA. It hasn't been updated since.

I went over to the UPS Customer Center about 0.5 miles from my work and they told me that if it's 2nd business day shipping and it left on Thursday there is basically no way you're getting your shipment today.

She said all their "big trucks" (highway rigs) come in about 6am everyday with ALL the shipments they will do that day, and if your order isn't on it at 6am, you aren't getting your package.

Since both our orders, according to the UPS website, were not at our local city's UPS hub at 6am, I seriously doubt we're getting our orders before Monday

I asked them if I could upgrade my shipment while in-transit to Overnight Saturday and they said it's impossible.

Oh well.

I ordered my system on Monday May 30th, how long do you guys think it will take so it can fall in my hands (my poor baby is somewhere, and i dont know where)

it still says boxing on the dell website.

ps, does dell send you an e-mail with the UPS tracking number, or how does that work?

Okay, this officially blows. My system is at a sorting facility in St. Louis, MO, about an hour and 15 minutes from my house, and the lady from UPS told me that they sort/ship 24 hours a day, so it will probably get to the hub in my city tonight and it will sit less than a mile from my house for 48 hours because drivers only work M-F 6am to 7pm and I can't simply drive to the customer center that is located WITHIN the hub and pick it up, because their hours are 9am to 6:30pm.

As the comicbook guy would say: Worst wait EVER.

yea I just checked and my UPS is updated now, it seems to now have left CERRITOS, CA and is on its way to who knows where. Yeah, I really doubt that I would get it today, oh well guess I'll get it on monday then. I don't understand why we can't just go down to the UPS hub and pick it up.

no you will get an e-mail when they ship it and it will direct you to their online status tool that will give you the tracking number, oh and the "boxing" phase takes about 2-4 days to complete.

Icy did you get yours? Mine is still in Earth City, MO. I've given up hope for today. Look like I'll be taking Tuesday off work to play with it as I'm sure it will be here Monday afternoon.

No, I didn't get it yet, I just got off work at 10PM and I checked the UPS site. My i9300 is.......at the Las Vegas UPS hub. Now it just has to sit there tomorrow and Sunday collecting dust (YES, through the box ) Until they deliver it Monday morning at about 10:30AM-12:00PM. Thats when UPS always gets to my house whenever I order stuff online. I should be home by 11:00AM so hopefully they don't deliver it in that 30min that i'm not home (OMFG if they do, I will be so f***ing mad ) btw for people who all ready got there i9300, What kind of box did it come in? Dell Box? regular brown box? what condition was the box in?

see the think is....I don't have work on monday. It one of my (few) days off next week, I also have Wednesday off as well. So I have all Monday to play with it. Then with GTA:SA coming out on Tuesday, I think I'm going to have some fun on Wednesday

nice. I have a pretty flexible job, so I know I'll be taking quite a bit of time off next week.

I have this weird desire to take my i9300 to Panera Bread to use their free wireless access (although I have a wireless router right here) just so I can show off my "goodies."

My system left St. Louis at 1am and hasn't arrived in my city, about 90 miles from STL at this point (no "received" scan) although there are people down at UPS working today.

They must be driving it from STL to my town in a Model T.

Okay, my UPS tracking number no longer registers on UPS's website though it did work before and said that my system had "Departed" a hub about 1.5hours from my house at 1am this morning. Anybody else experience this?

Why the hell would this happen.
