Problem with 8890 and USB Docking Station

I just received a Typhoon USB 2.0 7in1 Docking Station. With a paralel and a serial port, 2 USB 2.0 ports, ports for mouse and keyboard and a LAN connection as well.

I installed it but it does not work well, it kicks in and out as if I was plugging it in or out every minute or so. Does this sound familiar? Has it something to do with USB controller conflicts?

I emailed typhoon and hope to get a good answer from them...

I gave up... for now

I thought it would be nice to use this new fast usb 2.0 7-in-one thing but I guess my situation is too complicated . I was trying to connect to this device:

- keyboard
- mouse
- my good "old" usb hub with following devices: pda, scanner, smartcard

It seemed to work but it is not robust, devices seem to interfere or disturb one and another. I did not understand it but could not get it to work well. Manufacturer does not provide helpfull hints either...

So i gave up!
