The real skinny on CPU's

Hey Folks,

Just ordered 9880 and have just one (ok, two) silly little Q's....

Is there a significant difference between the standard P4 3.0 (530) CPU and the rest, and is the Motherboard the same for 5xx and 6xx processors, so I can upgrade down the road when Sager releases the 9-million and my 9880 begins to choke.

I mean, these notebooks/laptops/DT-replacers are freakin' monsters, I'm aware that 800 Mhz speed and 32 -> 64-bit processing has obvious advantages, but I can't see that it's gonna be THAT noticable with the current SW out there, is it?
It's moot anyway, I've already closed the deal (with PCT; they rock).

Thanks!

the motherboard is the same. It supports the 5xx series and 6xx series.

Also, these will probably be the last 5xx and 6xx processor's so the best you will be able to upgrade is to the 670 (3.8Ghz) because Intel is changing the mobo for the dual core processors and there most likely won't be any more upgrades for this series.
