Yes, i did play the phase game, it took 8 or 9 days total for me to go onto phase 14. So that is awesome.
I recieved my 7700 and 3 other boxes all the same day, here is what i ordered,
Alienware MJ-12m 7700 Notebook
Alienware 20.1inch LCD
Creative Gigaworks s750 7.1 surround sound
Alienware Backpack
As i ripped into the box, i noticed that they pack very well, tons of styrafoam. Then there it was the shiny black Alienware box looking right at me with my baby inside it.
I opened that up and took out the cheap case they give you for free and then took out the mean beast.
Ripped or peeled off all the plastic. I set it down and look at it, This thing is huge, i thought. But i know it will the most powerful notebook computer i will ever use. I got into all the rest of the boxes and took out all the rest of my goodies. I was so happy that day
First bootup was very smooth and clean, no dead pixels (The screen is absolutly beautiful, and i have never seen anything that clean before) I set up all my Windows options and typed in my Windows XP Pro Key and i was all set!
I noticed it doesnt come will all the bullshit, like aol stuff and crap that messes up your computer. I installed all my Video and Photo editing software without a hitch. I then installed World of Warcraft, and Doom 3. Had one Windows error while installing Doom 3. I tryed reinstalling it and to my suprise it was already installed... WTF?
Let me tell you, this computer is so fast its unbeleavable, i boot into games and load apps so fast. It takes like 5 to 10 seconds for total shutdown. Quick!
At first while playing games i noticed it gots really warm to the left of the touchpad. I was worring about playing games for a long period of time because of heat issues, so i shut my 7700 down after a hour and a half of playing, just to be safe. Then i just installed the Get Thermal program and set my fan speeds to someone elses standards and it keeps it cooler.
My temps run about 53 degrees while idle, 65 to 70 while playing games. My VGA gets 55 degress idle, and 65 and 68 playing games. Thats pretty good
Overall I have not had one problem with the 7700, and i am very happy with it. I do recomend this computer to anyone that is into a powerful custom machine, Go Alienware!!!
