Will the price on the 9880 drop when the Ferrari 4k comes out, it seems like the perfect laptop to me, but I was looking more at the 2K price range.

I purchased this Nook Color specifically because I was taking a very long trip to China and wanted to be able to read without carrying a ton of books. I also liked that it had email capability...

I'd imagine so, but I don't think dual core laptops will be out any time soon. Or rather, soon enough to influence my decision to buy a 9880. Sure the price on the 9880 might drop, but I really doubt by much. I haven't seen much information on the pricing of dual core CPUs, but I'd think they'd be a LOT more than single core ones. Because of this, that'd mean the new-9880 would be ultra high-end, and the exisiting 9880 would stay the same to fill the niche between insanely expensive, and expensive.
Edit:

I didn't notice you said $2,000 price range. I really don't think any dual core specialty laptop will be anywhere near that range, especially when you factor in RAM, video, etc.

I don't care if its "dual core" in fact I would prefer a notebook like this: 17" AMD64 3700+ 1gb ram 128mb x700 w/ a full sized keyboard + number pad. What I want doesn't exist, so the 64bit edition of the sager is the closest I can come to what I really want. I guess the new Ferrari 4k would be fine, if only it had a keypad.
