Well it HAS been proven that only people that rode the short bus to school like the LG, kinda like the guy in my avatar (by the look on his face you can tell he just saw the dreaded sparkles on an LG).

In dreamland or?? in your samsung fantazy world??

I think about as highly about the guy in your avatar as I do about fresh dog crap. He would probably call tech support to complain of sparkles and declare war on the country that his call was routed to after thinking since they have computers they must have weapons of mass destruction.
Yeah, funny how the most defenseless countries always have the biggest mouths...
I say we keep a list of these so called friends and when it's go time, we only remember our REAL allies....

For the heck of it, I just priced a M680. While the pricing is comparable to a 9300 (after Dell's rebates), the performance may not be quite as good.

I spec'd the M680 with a ATI X700 with 128MB - their best option. The 9300 is equipped with a NVidia 9800 with 256MB.

The M680 includes a 1680x1050 17" wide screen. The 9300 has a 1920x1200 17" wide screen.

The Dell also comes with optional Bluetooth support. I see no mention of Bluetooth for the M680.

Without Dell's rebates (20% last month) and my vendor rebate (6%) and a $150 mail in rebate, I would have spent around $2200 for the 9300. The M680 came in at just over $1600. If not all the rebates, the M680 may have been a better value. Otherwise, I'll take the 9300.

Question: Why are there so many trees in Paris?

Answer: So the Germans' can march in the shade.

MichaelX30 I like your Idea.
I think you hit the nail on the head. Gateway laptops are poorly designed and tend to have hardware failure at an incredibly inflated rate. I wish The original poster the best of luck with your gateway.

Hey guys check this out. http://www.notebookforums.com/showth...t=9300+gateway
I am keeping my 9300. No sparkles here. The only thing overheating is my submachine gun. I am trapped by zombies in an old building. They dont come upstairs to get me but I cant go down there. I am so scared. Heart pounding and all, pulse racing. I only have on e magazine left and the drums across the way are too far for my gravity gun...
