well i dont have those problems anymore like before but i do get the screen flicker. It will go away if i knock the brightness down one notch or sometimes move the screen. Since this is basically the 3rd time with the problem would best buy give me a new replacement? Or do they have to fix it 3 times and then the 4th they give me a replacement. I dont know if i want to bring it in because i know there is no factory fix from gateway and i cant open it up because i will lose warranty. It would be nice to get the 7510gx but that probably has the same problems that this one has so not sure i would want that.

The fourth time the unit is brought in for repair is the replacement event. It doesn't have to be for the same problem, though. If there are 4 totally separate repair events, (I.E. one trip for the LCD, one trip for the touchpad, one trip for the keyboard, one trip for the media reader), it's a lemon and gets replaced. If they fix 3 things at once, that is a single repair event. Some states have laws that supersede this, but I think anything like that is printed on your original warranty ticket.
