I use a Swiftech cpu cooler on my AMD 2600+. I went to this cooler after my old one let my AMD 2100+ get too hot and fry itself. That's a hard lesson about using a generic cooler, lol. The model I have is the MCX462-U, but they have slightly changed the line. The one that appears most comparable to the one I am using (and probably better, since it is newer) is the MCX462-V heatsink. On the Swiftech website, http://www.swiftnets.com/ it retails for $49.95. It doesn't come with a fan, mind you. You can likely find it elsewhere online for slightly cheaper. I would advise you to read up a little bit on this line of coolers. They work really well, but they are kinda loud. Mine runs at a constant 6000+ RPM's, but I have not ever had any problems with a hot CPU since I got it. I'm sure you could get a quieter one, though, if you didn't need to cool the CPU down as much.
